Free QR code menu generator for restaurants

Paste the link to your menu and get a QR code to print, with a card for every table. Free, no sign-up, no watermark. The code holds your link itself, so it never expires.

Make your menu’s QR code

Your website’s menu page, or a PDF on your website.

Your code appears here.

The code is made in your browser. Your link is not sent to GoRunny or stored anywhere.

Want the menu behind the code too, in your guests’ languages, with ordering and paying at the table? See GoRunny

How to use it

Put the link to your menu in the first field: the menu page of your website, or a PDF of your menu on your website. Add your venue’s name if you want it on the card, and the number of tables.

Download the code as a PNG for a flyer or a menu cover, as an SVG for a print shop (it stays sharp at any size), or print one card per table straight from the page. Scan the preview with your own phone before you print.

Where your menu should live

A QR code is only a link. What the guest sees is whatever that link opens, so the menu behind it matters more than the code.

The quickest start is a PDF of the menu you already print, uploaded to your website. It works, but on a phone the text is small, guests have to zoom, and every price change means a new file. A menu page on your website reads better, and a digital menu built for phones reads best: it fits the screen, shows photos and allergens, and changes the moment you change it.

Printing codes that scan

Print the code large enough to scan from where the guest sits, in dark on light, on matt paper or card that doesn’t reflect the lights. Leave the white border around the code: phones need it to find the code.

Write what the code does next to it, such as “Scan for the menu”, and test each printed card with two or three different phones. Keep a few printed menus for guests without a phone.

What a static code can’t do

The code this page makes is static: your link is written into the code itself. That is why it is free and never expires, and also its limits. If your menu moves to a new address, the printed codes still open the old one, so keep the link the same and change the page or the file behind it.

A static code doesn’t know which table it is on. The table number on the card is for people, not for the code. And it can’t tell you how often it was scanned.

When you need more than a link

GoRunny gives every table its own code that knows the table, and puts a real menu behind it: photos and allergens on every dish, translated automatically into 201 languages, changed the moment you save. You can start with the menu alone and switch on ordering and paying at the table later, on the same printed codes. One flat price, 0% commission.

Questions

Is this QR code generator really free?

Yes. No sign-up, no watermark and no expiry. The code holds your link itself, so it keeps working as long as your link does.

Can I change my menu without printing new codes?

Yes, if the link stays the same: update the page or replace the file at the same address. If the address changes, print new codes.

Does GoRunny store my link?

No. The code is made in your browser. Your link is not sent to GoRunny or stored anywhere.

What size should a table QR code be?

Large enough to scan from the seat without leaning in. Print one, put it on a table and try it with a few phones from where guests sit before you print the rest.
